- World Series of Fighting (WSOF) was formed in 2012.
- World Series of Fighting (WSOF) changed its name to Professional Fighters League in April 2017.
- The WSOF uses a ten-sided (Decagon) cage for their events.
- The PFL is the first major MMA organization to allow its fighters to compete in a regular season, post-season, and championship fight tournament. The six weight classes compete for a championship prize of $1 million each.
