The 49th NFL Super Bowl also known as Super Bowl XLIX was played on February 1, 2015 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The game was played by the AFC champion New England Patriots and the NFC champion Seattle Seahawks.
Super Bowl 2015 will forever be remembered for the final play on the goal line, in which the Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler intercepted Russell Wilson’s pass that was intended for wide receiver Ricardo Lockette. Butler sealed the deal on denying the Seahawks, back-to-back Super Bowl victories.
The New England Patriots won the 2015 Super Bowl 28-14 against the Seattle Seahawks. Quarterback Tom Brady of the New England Patriots was the Super Bowl MVP.
